IMI to hold marina manager course in Fort Lauderdale

Posted on

The International Marina Institute, a subsidiary of the Association of Marina Industries, will be holding an Advanced Marina Manager program Dec. 6-11 in Fort Lauderdale.

“This past year, we awarded the Certified Marina Manager designation to 18 candidates, and 260 people participated in our programs overall — the most we’ve ever had,” said Jim Frye, AMI president and chair, in a statement. “Booking in Fort Lauderdale was a logical choice for us.”

The course provides training in site planning, marina development, marina operation techniques, business strategies, risks and liabilities, environmental policies, and other topics to gain the “Certified Marina Manager” designation.
