Star brite, ValvTect settle lawsuit

Posted on

Star brite Distributing and ValvTect Petroleum have settled their lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

“We are very pleased that we have resolved this dispute and look forward to bright futures for both our companies,” said Peter Dornau, president of Star brite and Jerry Nessenson, president of ValvTect, in a joint statement.

Court documents filed last week show a mediation conference was held March 11 and the matter was settled. No further information was available in court documents or provided by the parties in this matter.

Both companies had accused the other of false advertising and deception regarding the performance of their products.

I would like to know if any of their products work. We only sell non ethenol fuel at our facility. The ethanol problems we encounter in our shop are from drive ups who store their boats at home. We know our infamous govt. won’t address the issues especially since your president thinks buying a boat is foolish and irresponsible. Anyway if anyone is smarter than me(Should be plenty) and know what works please pass the mustard( I mean info ) on.

    Hi Brett:
Yes, both ValvTect Marine Gasoline with Ethanol Gasoline Treatment and ValvTect Ethanol Gasoline Treatment (aftermarket containers) WORK!  We have just completed additional tests that confirm these products can prevent ethanol related problems. We would be pleased to provide this test data and other information to you.
In addition to the test data, there are hundreds of Certified ValvTect Marinas that are required to sell ethanol blended gasoline. Since the ethanol gasoline at these marinas is treated with ValvTect Ethanol Gasoline Treatment when the fuel is delivered to the marina they have reported virturally no fuel related problems from their customers who fill up at their marinas….however, as you report, many trailer boaters and boaters from non-ValvTect Marinas encounter significant problems. This is the best proof. We would be pleased to provide a list and contacts for these marinas.
Please feel free to call us or me personally at 847-272-2278 or e-mail gnessenson@valvtect.com
