Boston Whaler to debut in-water event

Posted on

Boston Whaler is launching FishTopia, an on-water celebration of friends, family, fishing and freedom, the company announced.

Each FishTopia event will include a fishing tournament, as well as other activities for people of all ages.

“We’re very excited about creating a series of events to bring people together on the water,” said Ben Cast, vice president of sales, marketing and customer service at Boston Whaler, in a statement. “FishTopia will be a lot of fun, and we expect the fun to last well beyond each tournament weigh-in.”

FishTopia events will differ from location to location, where activities may include live music, cooking demonstrations, water sports, games and contests. Participants also will be able to upload photos to show off their catch or their own FishTopia fun.

Sail & Ski dealership of Austin, Texas, will host the FishTopia signature event Friday in Port O’Connor, Texas. Boston Whaler will release more details soon about this inaugural FishTopia event as well as those hosted by dealerships around the world.

Sounds like BW’s version of Aquapalooza. Good luck with it. Anything manufacturers can do to promote the boating lifestyle and on the water comraderie is a great idea in my opinion.
