Jeppesen, U.S. Power Squadrons combine for safety effort

Posted on

Jeppesen and the U.S. Power Squadrons are teaming up to promote marine education and safe boating practices, the groups recently announced.

With the assistance of Jeppesen, USPS will further its education of boaters and its members in the proper use of vector digital charts and related tools used for navigation.

“Our efforts and our goals parallel each other in many ways,” said Ken Cirillo, marine business development manager for Jeppesen, in a statement. “The more we spoke with each other, the clearer it became how together we could reach today’s modern boater with much-needed information on safe electronic navigation.”

As part of the agreement, Jeppesen will provide demonstrations and discounted products to USPS instructors and members, including digital charts, software and membership in Club Jeppesen.
