First Glastron boat rolls off new production line

Posted on

060410_GlastronThe Recreational Boat Group, a division of Platinum Equity affiliate Project Boat Holdings, announced that the first Glastron boat has come off the manufacturer’s new production line at its Cadillac, Mich., plant.

The first unit, a 2011 DS 205 deckboat, rolled off the production line last Friday.

Under new owner Platinum Equity, the former Genmar company moved production from Little Falls, Minn., to the Cadillac plant in February. Management stressed that despite the move, product availability remains stable and on track.

“We want our dealers to know that we are kicking off our 2011 model year with more energy, more resources and more focus than ever before,” said Roch Lambert, president of the Recreational Boat Group.

    Hello everyone
I for one am happy to hear Glastron is up and running in Cadillac Michigan. It will be nice to see progress and stability for Cadillac Michigan and the brandsRoch Lambert is extremely capable of growing the business for all the brands associated with production in Cadillac. Does anyone know Bruce Sargent is?

If the rest of the banks follow Wells Fargos lead then there is no point in building any boats of course thats what our new friends in washington want.

Boats are “Now” for dealers and buyers with CASH.
85% of our 22 deals this year (down from 80 a year) are cash only

Is Glastron still using the VEC Technology for the manufacturing of their boats? If not how are they making them?
