Posted on

MarineMax today announced it expanded its storage and service capabilities in Ohio with the acquisition of a large, heated storage and yacht service facility.

The terms of the purchase price were not disclosed.

The marina and service facility, known as The Yacht Center, is in West Harbor, with deep-water access to Lake Erie and the islands near Port Clinton, Ohio.

With 80,000 square feet of heated storage buildings and a 70-ton Travelift, the facility is capable of accommodating vessels up to 75 feet in length.

“We are very excited to acquire a facility of this scale in the northern Ohio market,” chairman, president and CEO William H. McGill Jr. said in a statement. “This acquisition complements our already strong presence in the area and further enhances our ability and strategy of improving our customers’ experience.”

MarineMax previously occupied the facility as a tenant for a number of years before completing this acquisition.
