Caterpillar will increase prices on its products by as much as 2 percent worldwide, effective in January, the company said in a report to the Securities and Exchange Commission.
“Consistent with our prior announcement, our first emissions-related price increases of 2 to 6 percent will also apply in January for applicable products and regions,” the company added. “This price change is a result of current industry factors, as well as general economic conditions.”
Details by product will be released to dealers in the near future and will vary across geographic regions and products, the company said.
