I know I sound like a broken record on these things.  These engine manufacturers just don’t get it.  If these guys would open thier ears and brains and realize that dealers need profit.  Plain and simple, extra warranty does not help sell the product.  It only gives away the opportunity the dealer has to sell an extended warranty.  Just think Mr. Manufacturer, would your dealers be healthier if you let them make a few hundred extra dollars for every motor they sell?  You could also look at the RV industry.  Even the best brands only provide a 1 or maybe 2 year warranty.  They let the dealer make the money. That’s one reason why the RV industry is healthier than ours. The dealers make more money per deal.  Same old song and dance, the dealer gets the shaft and the manufacturer tells him how to run his business.

I wish they all had a 1 year warranty. The shop makes a lot more money working on something out of warranty than they do in warranty. Even if you jump through all there hoops the manufactures nit pick and cut time so much you hate to see a warranty come to the shop.
