Yamaha unveils demo-ride schedule

Posted on

Yamaha Marine Group announced the 2011 schedule for the Discover VMAX SHO Demo Tour, a national program consisting of high-performance demo rides in 15 markets designed to display the benefits of Yamaha’s outboard motor VMAX SHO.

“The VMAX SHO Demo Tour allows consumers to see and feel just how game- changing these outboards really are,” said Dale Barnes, Yamaha Marine Group division manager of marketing, said in a statement. “The holeshot and mid-range punch are unequaled. We can say that, you’ve heard it, but it needs to be experienced and that’s what this tour is all about.”

The 2011 Discover VMAX SHO Demo Tour debuts Feb.18 during the Bassmaster Classic in New Orleans.

For a limited time, Yamaha is offering a special promotion in conjunction with the tour. The first 100 participants each day that take advantage of the demo ride will receive a voucher good for a one-year Yamaha Extended Service contract (choice offered in Florida is a 12-month limited warranty) with an MSRP value of as much as $1,500.

The voucher can be redeemed only after the customer has purchased a new VMAX SHO. Some restrictions apply.

I wonder if customers will be allowed to drive the boats?  I have heard that they don’t allow customers to drive.

More than likely they don’t allow consumers to drive these boats. The bass boats go over 70 mph!!!
