Early registration deadline nears for METSPosted on
Early-bird registration ends March 1 for companies looking to book space at METS 2011 and the SuperYacht Pavilion 2011, which takes place Nov. 15-17 in Amsterdam.
Those who book by that time can save 15 percent.
“For many years, METS has sold out swiftly and it looks as if 2011 is keeping pace with the trend,” METS senior product manager Irene Dros said in a statement. “We really urge companies to book space as early as possible so as to avoid disappointment and make their participation at METS even more cost-effective.”
Because of new value-added tax rules as of January, whereby METS organizers do not have to invoice Dutch VAT on stand rental and stand construction, registrants must enter their full VAT number on the registration form or enclose a statement from the tax authorities that qualifies them as a taxable person.
“If this information is not provided, we are obliged to charge Dutch VAT on all our invoices. This new regulation is only applicable to non-Dutch exhibitors and EU members,” organizers said.
METS, the world’s largest trade exhibition of equipment, materials and systems for the international marine leisure industry, is organized by Amsterdam RAI in association with the International Council of Marine Industry Associations.
