Wyoming joins RBFF license programPosted on
The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation said today that the Wyoming Game and Fish Department will participate in the group’s State Fishing License Marketing Program, which aims to increase license sales nationwide.
More than 30 states participate in the initiative, which the RBFF developed to increase participation in the sport and generate awareness of the connection between fishing license sales and conservation efforts.
“We’re pleased to be working with Wyoming to encourage anglers to get back out on the water,” RBFF president and CEO Frank Peterson said in a statement. “Our recruitment and retention programs, with now more than 30 state agencies and our national Take Me Fishing campaign, aims to increase fishing license sales which, ultimately, funds critical state conservation efforts.”
To date, 33 state partners have sold nearly 840,000 fishing licenses through the marketing program.
