FLIBS 2011: Grand Banks reports better sales worldwidePosted on
FORT LAUDERDALE David Hensel, director of brand and marketing for Grand Banks Yachts, said at a press event Thursday that sales are up, compared with 2010, and that the trawler yacht builder came to the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show with some momentum.
Were seeing [our] markets pick up all around the world, Hensel says.
In the last five months the company has sold 16 boats nine retail sales, one dealer new boat and six inventory boats.
The number of Grand Banks inventory boats 16 worldwide is now our lowest inventory of all time, Hensel says.
The market continues to be up and down. Thats what the whole industry is facing, Hensel says. But theres a strong feeling among the company and our dealers that were on our way up.
Grand Banks is displaying four boats at the show.
This story was updated to reflect that Grand Banks sells through a dealer network.
