Take Me Fishing website wins nine awards

The Take Me Fishing campaign received nine W3 Awards for website design and development, the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation announced.

The 2011 W3 Awards, which received more than 3,000 entries, are judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts. TakeMeFishing.org, its mobile website and its Fishington online community received the following honors:

2011 W3 Gold Awards:

• TakeMeFishing.org, General Interests/Variety

• TakeMeFishing.org, Lifestyle

• Mobile Website, Sports & Recreation

2011 W3 Silver Awards:

• TakeMeFishing.org, Charitable Organizations/Non-Profit

• TakeMeFishing.org, Structure and Navigation

• TakeMeFishing.org, Visual Appeal

• Fishington, Community

• Mobile Website, Education

“We’re pleased to receive recognition from the W3 Awards for the third year in a row,” RBFF president and CEO Frank Peterson said in a statement. “Our goal is to grow the website and diversify our digital tools so boaters and anglers can access ‘where to’ and ‘how to’ information whenever and wherever they need it.”
