Brunswick employees donate to charityPosted on
Boston Whaler and Brunswick Commercial and Government Products employees and family members recently collected donations at the annual company picnic to help support local organizations.
Numerous boxes of non-perishable food items were collected and will be donated to the Halifax Urban Ministry. Additionally, several boxes of pet food will be given to local animal shelters, and two large boxes of toys will be donated to the Edgewater (Fla.) Fire Department’s program that delivers toys to local families during the holidays.
In addition to the food and toy drive, the picnic included a Disney ticket drawing, bake sale, cake walk and salsa sale, all of which resulted in $666.50 to be donated to local animal shelters and the Edgewater department’s toy drive program.
“Boston Whaler believes that it’s important to give back to the community and help those in need,” company president Tim Schiek said in a statement. “Each year we gather together at the company picnic to do just that.”
