Hinckley and Marquis Yachts are introducing new models.

The Hinckley Co. will be launching the first yacht of its Talaria T48 series today at its boatyard in Southwest Harbor, Maine.

The 50-foot yacht is modeled after the original Talaria series of boats, which resemble versions of traditional Down East lobsterboats, WABI-TV reported. The T48 has a redefined hull and can cruise at 30 knots while drawing only 32 inches of water.

Gov. Paul LePage will be on hand for the launching.

Marquis Yachts will introduce its new 630 Sport Yacht to the global marine market later this month at the Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show.

The new Marquis 630 Sport Yacht was designed by Nuvolari-Lenard Naval Architects of Venice, Italy.

“We are very pleased to unveil this stunning new yacht to the world,” Marquis Yachts LLC president Robert VanGrunsven said in a statement. “The ultra-premium craftsmanship, combined with only the finest materials, have resulted in a yacht fit to carry the name Marquis.”

The hull form is specifically designed for efficiency and engineered to maximize the benefits of twin diesel engines, coupled to joystick-activated pod drives.

As with all yachts built at the Marquis shipyard, the 630 Sport Yacht is a semicustom yacht. Each vessel can be built to an owner’s style preferences.
