Suncoast Boat Show opens today in FloridaPosted on
Galati Yacht Sales, MarineMax and Cannons Marine – they’ll all have their boats on display at this year’s 30th annual Suncoast Boat Show in Sarasota, Fla., which opens today.
Boats from Tiara, Everglades, Boston Whaler, Sea Ray and Grady-White will be showcased during the event, which runs through Sunday in downtown Sarasota at Marina Jack.
Cannons Marine will have the new Grady-White 335 Freedom and Galati Yacht Sales will be showing the new 36 Coronet (see video of both boats), along with the Viking 66. Local boatbuilders have a strong presence at this show. Sarasota’s Panga Marine will debut the 29 Horizon.
“I’m very optimistic about the show and our new boat, and the weather looks like it will cooperate,” Panga Marine owner Rob McDaniel said. “We’ve built larger boats before — a 27 and a 28. “The 29 takes the best of both of those boats and combines them.” Twin 175-hp Suzuki 4-strokes power this center console, which will carry a price tag of $100,000 with engines and trailer, McDaniel said.
Stamas, of Tarpon Springs, will debut its 362, 326 and 289 models; and Jupiter, of Palmetto, will also be present.
“The Suncoast show is a very good show, and we will have two of our most popular models, the 34 and 30, there and in the water,” Jupiter Marine vice president of sales Todd Albrecht told Soundings Trade Only this morning. “I would be very surprised if we didn’t close on a 30 today.”
The 30 was introduced at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Albrecht says. Cannons Marine will be showing the Jupiter boats, he says.
Teakdecking Systems, also of Sarasota, will display its new Eco line of environmentally friendly teak-cleaning products.
The 30th Annual Suncoast Boat Show in Sarasota is managed and produced by Show Management and sponsored by Lincoln, Pioneer Linens, Budweiser, Smallwood’s and BoatQuest.com.
Show-goers will be able to obtain information and navigate the show with Show Management’s free MyBoatShow app for the iOS and Android mobile platforms.
