IMBC seeks presentations for 2013 slate

Posted on

The International Marina & Boatyard Conference issued a “Call for Presenters” for its conference, scheduled for Jan. 30-Feb. 1, 2013, at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale.

New for 2013, IMBC organizers will offer the seminar schedule in tracks arranged by coastal, inland or boatyard categories. Within those tracks, topics will include marina operations, emergency response tactics, construction, legal considerations for marinas on federally leased lands, boatyard operations, marketing, management, revenue generation, expense management, customer service, environmental issues, human resources and marina law.

IMBC asks that presentations be designed for intermediate to advanced levels of experience without overt company or product promotions.

“We’re constantly listening to feedback and making adjustments to our show to fit the actual needs of our participants and the industry,” AMI president Jim Frye said in a statement. ”For the next IMBC we decided to arrange the seminar program in a manner that allows marina professionals to get the most out of the educational experience.”

The deadline for submitting presentations is May 31.
