Sabre Yachts COO will keynote Landing School graduation

Aaron Crawford, a graduate of The Landing School and the chief operating officer of Sabre Yachts, will be the speaker June 16 at the Maine boatbuilding school’s 33rd annual commencement.

Crawford, who graduated in 1993 with a diploma in yacht design, joined Sabre Yachts in 2010 and is responsible for all manufacturing operations, customer service and engineering at the builder based in South Casco, Maine.

The school will graduate 63 diploma students and seven associate’s degree students in the marine systems, yacht design, composite-boat building and wooden-boat building programs. The graduates are from 19 states, South Korea and Bermuda.

Boats that were built this year will be christened. The wooden-boat building cruising boats program will christen two Flyfisher 22s and the wooden-boat building small boats program will christen three hand-built Joel White Pea Pods.
