Maine builder Hodgdon Yachts is promoting itself to the international market by exhibiting Sept. 19-22 at the Monaco Yacht Show.

The company sent invitations asking media to attend its “A taste of Maine” reception Sept. 20 at its booth.

“Maine is a special place. We can boast of more than 5,600 km of saltwater coastline, the best lobsters on earth, a rich heritage in boatbuilding and the most authentic people you’ll find anywhere on the planet,” the invitation reads. “These are the roots of America’s oldest boatbuilder. Everything that we build … comes from that history.”

Hodgdon’s display will include its 50-meter “modern classic sail concept,” military rescue craft and tenders.
