Soundings Trade Only is the official media partner for the International Marina & Boatyard Conference, according to the Association of Marina Industries, the conference producer and organizer.
The conference is scheduled for Jan. 30-Feb. 1, 2013, at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/ Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale.
“Soundings Trade Only is an important media outlet for the entire marine industry, with growing prominence in the marina segment,” AMI president Jim Frye said in a statement. “This partnership allows us to share content, ensuring the marina industry has access to the newest products, theories and technologies throughout the year.”
As the media partnership evolves, it will expand beyond the marketing of IMBC by creating and sharing content between the magazine and AMI’s events and programs.
“In the future, IMBC will be able to highlight its educational content throughout the year using our multiple media platforms, bringing its content to a larger audience,” Soundings Trade Only publisher Dean Waite said in a statement. “This partnership is an important part of our plan to strengthen the connection between the marina industry and Soundings Trade Only.”
Content for IMBC 2013 will include three tracks dedicated to coastal marinas, inland marinas and boatyards. Along with breakout tracks and a keynote from professional speaker John Spence, IMBC will include hands-on, small group workshops that give participants information and material they can take home and apply immediately.
Potential topics for breakout sessions and workshops include navigating coastal land leases, electrical safety at lake marinas and the technological future of the boatyard industry.
