Boston Whaler donates to Florida schoolsPosted on
Boston Whaler recently carried out its second annual “Boatload of Backpacks” project, donating 150 backpacks filled with school supplies to three elementary schools in Edgewater, Fla.
Boston Whaler matched employee contributions one-to-one, resulting in a complete school supply list for 150 area students. The “Boatload of Backpacks” was delivered by a 150 Super Sport to Edgewater Elementary, Indian River Elementary and Burns Science and Technology Charter School.
“Boston Whaler prides itself in being a part of our local community,” Boston Whaler president Tim Schiek said in a statement. “We are thrilled to be able to help these young students prepare for a successful future.”
Boston Whaler delivered 50 backpacks to each school. The backpacks will be distributed by each school to a select number of students who might need additional support during the school year.
