Centurion Boats sponsors wake-surfing championshipPosted on
The new 2013 Centurion Enzo SV244 workhorse will be the official towboat of the World Wake Surfing Championship, which takes place Thursday through Saturday in Parker, Ariz.
The new 2013 Enzos will come equipped with Centurion’s new Wing Plate and Quiet Tip Exhaust and will debut the all-new Surf Platform.
“The Wing Plate & Quiet Tip are not a trim-tab and silencer. They are components of the Centurion wave production system that carefully sculpt the wave to perfection,” production vice president Les Clark said in a statement. “The Centurion design staff has developed these innovations to work in concert, providing the exact same world-class wave on both sides of the boat — regardless of the propeller’s rotation — while eliminating the turbulence introduced from the exhaust port on the wave’s face. Lastly, the Surf Platform was added to ensure that the wave remains intact, retains a clean face and provides a powerful punch.”
Centurion will have demos available at the World Wake Surfing Championship at the BlueWater Resort & Casino.
The World Wake Surfing Championship will award $55,000 in cash and prizes — the largest professional purse in the history of wake surfing.
The event will be broadcast via webcast on www.thecwsa.org, beginning Thursday and concluding with the awards ceremony on Saturday.
