IMBC reports increase in booth space salesPosted on
Organizers of the International Marina & Boatyard Conference say exhibit hall booth space for the Jan. 30-Feb. 1 event is 80 percent sold out, a significant increase from previous years at this point in the sales schedule.
The conference, which will be held at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center in Florida, features an exhibit hall hosting more than 125 companies that support and supply the marina and boatyard industry.
“We’re ahead in booth sales, about a 20 percent increase over where we were last year at this time,” Jim Frye, president of the Association of Marina Industries, which produces the conference, said in a statement. “It means our exhibitors recognize that IMBC’s exhibit hall and seminar series attract real decision-makers in the marina industry, but more significantly, this is a great sign for the industry as a whole.”
This year, the IMBC will feature an extended seminar series with professional speakers as well as experts within the marine industry and will include hands-on workshops and breakout sessions sorted into specific coastal, inland, and boatyard and service tracks.
IMBC staff will host an Oktoberfest-style beer tasting in the exhibit hall and a field trip to local marinas and boatyards in southern Florida.
