Navico electronics brands Lowrance and B&G recently launched new websites.
Lowrance said its new site makes it easy for customers to obtain product details and pricing, share product information with friends and quickly access support information, manuals and software updates.
Simple to navigate, the site allows customers to quickly identify electronics needs for their boats, the company said. Using intuitive drop-down menus, products can be sorted based on a desired on-the-water activity, product type or product series. Visitors can also opt to view all products and select devices for a side-by-side feature comparison.
“We have packed www.lowrance.com full of useful, simple-to-navigate content, tailored location-based information on retailers and events and greatly enhanced our online support libraries to provide quick answers to our consumers’ questions,” Navico America COO Louis Chemi said in a statement.
At the heart of B&G’s new website is social media. From Facebook to Twitter, users can keep up to date with the latest news and interact with B&G and its many friends and followers.
“B&G is all about having passion for sailing, and the new website captures this by using the latest social media tools to enable the sailing community to share must-have information and ideas via Facebook and Twitter,” Chemi said in a statement. “This is particularly useful when combined with the interactive website’s events map, which lists all upcoming B&G events, global sailing races and boat shows. The real-time social media feed also helps sailors keep up with the latest news from B&G teams across the globe.”
Simple to navigate and intuitive to use, the new B&G website provides detailed product information for quick identification of a yacht’s electronics needs, the company said, adding that the new site also is tablet-friendly and works hand in hand with a range of Apple and Android products.
