Airmar schedules events for METSPosted on
Airmar Technology Corp. will conduct dealer training, hold a press conference and participate in a National Marine Electronics Association seminar next week during the Marine Equipment Trade Show in Amsterdam.
The 25th anniversary edition of METS will be held Nov. 13-15.
Airmars dealer training session, titled Getting to the Bottom of CHIRP Technology, will be held at 9 a.m. Nov. 13 in Room G106 at the RAI Convention Center. The presentation will address the major benefits of New Hampshire-based Airmars CHIRP technology, provide guidance to dealers and customers about selecting the right CHIRP transducer for their application and answer common CHIRP-related questions.

The press event, titled Award-Winning CHIRP Technology A Game Changer for the Serious Angler, will be held at 11 a.m., also in room G106.
CHIRP is the most significant advance in echosounder technology that the market has seen in a long time, and Airmars transducers are at the heart of the system, vice president of sales and marketing Jennifer Matsis said in a statement. METS is the perfect place to showcase the technology to an international audience.
The event will include the results from the companys joint venture with Garmin, Bluefin Tuna 2012: Past & Present, a summer fishing expedition focused on utilizing CHIRP technology to locate Atlantic bluefin tuna in the waters surrounding Scotland.
On Nov. 15, Airmar will take part in a National Marine Electronics Association seminar titled CHIRP Sounder Technology from 10 a.m. to noon in room D201.
