MarineMax announced the appointment of Chuck Cashman and Brett McGill as executive officers to the company’s board of directors.
Cashman has served as vice president of East operations since May. He joined MarineMax in 1992 and has held positions of increasing responsibility, including sales consultant, sales manager, general manager, district manager and regional president. Prior to joining MarineMax, Cashman was involved in commercial and residential construction management.
McGill has served as vice president of West operations since May. He served as one of the company’s regional presidents from March 2006 until May 2012, as vice president of information technology, service and parts from October 2004 to March 2006 and as director of information services from March 1998 to October 2004. McGill began his professional career at Integrated Dealer Systems, a software development firm, and joined MarineMax in 1996. He is the son of company president and CEO William H. McGill Jr.

Yamaha Marine Group announced the appointment of Heidi Weber as communications coordinator for the marine marketing department.
In her new role, Weber will support manager of dealer education and communications Martin Peters. Her responsibilities will include the writing and coordination of internal and external communications for the Yamaha Marine Group. She also will support the development of Yamaha Marine University training materials.
“We are so pleased to welcome Heidi to our marketing team,” Peters said in a statement. “Her strong writing and editing skills will help enhance our overall communications, and her experience in educational marketing will add value to our dealer education programs.”
Weber brings more than a decade of public relations and marketing experience to Yamaha. Prior to her new position she held marketing and communications positions with national and global companies, including the Institute for Reading Development, Porsche Cars North America and MCI Business Marketing.
Weber graduated from Stetson University with a bachelor’s degree in English and German.
