Dealer conference reports attendance gain

Posted on

The 2012 Marine Dealer Conference & Expo attracted a record number of attendees and expo space last week in Orlando, Fla.

More than 500 dealers attended, an increase of 7 percent from 2011, show organizers said. Nearly 1,000 members of the marine industry attended the conference this year at the Orange County Convention Center.

With more than 183,000 square feet of exhibit space and more than 100 sponsors and exhibitors, this year’s expo hall also was the largest yet.

“We’re thrilled because the educational opportunities that this event features are the central focus of the MDCE,” explained Matt Gruhn, president of the Marine Retailers Association of the Americas, which co-produces the show with Boating Industry Magazine. “From start to finish, the educational sessions received rave reviews.”
