Hostar Marine offers support for marine customers hit by hurricane

Posted on

In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, Hostar Marine Transport Systems is pledging its support to marina and yard customers in need of replacement parts, equipment and service.

The Massachusetts-based company, which builds hydraulic and self-propelled yard trailers, as well as large hydraulic road trailers, is already responding to calls for help from businesses affected by the devastating storm.

“We know the weeks ahead will require many boats to be moved, and we are helping customers get their equipment up and running as quickly as possible,” Hostar COO Dwight Stimson III said in a statement. “We already have a trip planned to the Neptune, New Jersey, area next week to repair a yard trailer. It was submerged under 6 feet of water after Sandy, and unfortunately the marina’s buildings were washed away.

“Our hearts go out to everyone who was affected by the storm, and we hope the impending nor’easter doesn’t cause further damage,” Stimson said. “For anyone needing boat stands, dollies, trailer parts or equipment, Hostar is ready to assist.”

The company can be reached at 800-783-9303 or hostar@hostarmarine.com.
