IMBC seeks preshow attendee feedback

Posted on

The Association of Marina Industries wants people planning to go to the International Marina & Boatyard Conference to help customize the content.

The group has posted “Sneak Peeks,” short articles and videos of each speaker and outlining the seminars and events on its website. The IMBC will be held Jan. 30-Feb. 1 in Fort Lauderdale.

For the first time, IMBC is asking attendees to weigh in with specific questions or comments about each session so speakers can tailor the content.

“We’re trying to get attendees to comment or ask questions so the speaker can adjust, based on comments, or if they have specific questions they want answered,” AMI’s Rachel LaMarre told Soundings Trade Only. “It’s extending your benefit because you can be part of the conversation before the event.”

A recently added breakout session called “What Just Happened? A first look at Hurricane Sandy” will feature Beth Leonard of BoatUS, and another track is called “Hurricane Andrew, 20 Years Later: What we have learned — and what we have forgotten.”
