Posted on

Marlow-Hunter LLC announced today that it signed Omina Marine Corp. Ltd. as a distributor in China, Thailand, Taiwan and Vietnam.

Omina will operate out of its central location with a full sales and service center, including parts and customer service support from Shenzhen, China, the company announced.

Chairman and managing director Wei Hong Zhuang, along with general manager Doug Sparks, provide marine experience in the sailing and boating arena.

“Utilizing our combined 40 years’ experience in the marine business, both in North America and the Pacific Rim, coupled with intimate knowledge of China and the surrounding countries gives us the unique opportunity to take on what we believe is one of the finest sailing lines in the world,” Sparks said in a statement. “Omnia will soon be exhibiting at their main location the Hunter line from 15 feet to 50 feet and attending four major boat shows throughout the first nine months.”

“The planning and attention to detail by Omina has been impressive,” Marlow-Hunter president John Peterson said in a statement. “[That], along with their enthusiasm to handle the emerging needs of the sailing community, will place Marlow-Hunter in a strategic position to economically gain sales and market share in this region.”
