Former Sea Ray president has new role

Posted on

Former Sea Ray president Rob Parmentier joined CGI North America as senior vice president of marketing and business development.

“I am very excited to still be a part of the marine industry, especially joining one of the largest banks in the world. I plan to utilize my skills and knowledge to advance CGI North America’s place in the industry,” Parmentier said in a statement.

Parmentier’s previous experience includes managing the Sea Ray and Meridian Yacht brands for Brunswick Corp. He assumed those responsibilities in 2009, having previously served as executive vice president of Sea Ray, overseeing a wide range of responsibilities, which at the time included Meridian, which was integrated into Sea Ray in 2008. He retained responsibility for the Meridian brand, as well as assuming profit and loss responsibility for Sea Ray.

Parmentier joined Sea Ray in 1982 and held a number of positions of increasing responsibility over the years at both the plant and headquarters levels for Sea Ray. Prior to his most recent assignment, Parmentier had been senior vice president of operations, as well as senior vice president and general manager of Sea Ray. He had also been president of Baja Marine before Brunswick sold the company.

“I am thrilled to have Robert join our CGI North America team,” CGI global director of boat financing activity Hervé Bonnet said in a statement. “His expertise, his familiarity and standing in the industry will help CGI to maintain its top status among pleasure boat and yacht brands.”
