Images of Miami: Covering the boat showsPosted on Written by Michael LaBella
Trade Only’s team of editors and writers covered the boat shows for five days in Miami earlier this month, armed with notebooks, digital audio recorders, cameras and iPads.
Editor-in-chief Bill Sisson, managing editor Rich Armstrong, executive editor Chris Landry, associate editor Reagan Haynes and senior writer Jim Flannery — you’ve read their reports, looked at their photos and watched their video reports.
The editors back at home base in Essex, Conn. — senior editor Michael LaBella, online editor Mike Trocchi and associate editor Jack Atzinger — delivered the news to you.
And there was plenty of news to cover, with dozens of industry officials holding press conferences or special events. It seemed as if everywhere we turned there was someone holding a microphone for an announcement or raising a glass to celebrate a new boat or product.
Well, here are some photos of those folks. We have a few industry heavyweights, such as Andy Graves, president of the Brunswick Boat Group, who spoke about Sea Ray’s Next Wave initiative, and others, such as Chris Carroll, vice president of business development for Torqeedo, which received the Innovation Award at the Miami show for its 80-hp Deep Blue electric outboard.
