Navigation company Jeppesen and Navico — the electronics company that’s the parent of the Lowrance, Simrad Yachting and B&G brands — teamed up to provide customers new charting options.

C-MAP MAX-N now offers C-MAP by Jeppesen cartography for Lowrance, Simrad Yachting and B&G brand chart plotters and multifunction displays. Debuting at the Miami International Boat Show, C-MAP MAX-N will be compatible at launch with Lowrance Elite-7, HDS Gen1, Gen 2 and Gen2 Touch; Simrad NSS, NSE and NSO; as well as B&G Zeus Touch multifunction displays.

“We are excited to partner with Navico, one of the world’s foremost manufacturers of marine electronics,” Jeppesen portfolio management director James Detar said in a statement. “We are proud to work together to offer their customers a seamless, best-in-class navigation solution for boaters and anglers around the globe.”

“With C-MAP by Jeppesen charts on board we are able to give boaters and anglers an information-rich view of their world on the water,” Navico CEO Leif Ottosson said in a statement. “We will continue to define the future of marine navigation as we work with industry-leading data providers for best-in-class charting compatibility and unrivaled product integration with our family of chart plotters and multifunction displays.”

Unfortunately the C-Map-N will NOT be compatible with C-Map software like MaxSea or other C-Map devices. It is simply a Navico version, not as hoped a bridge.
