MIAMI: Ferretti boosts its presence at showPosted on
MIAMI BEACH — The Ferretti Group touted its continued growth in the North American market and worldwide at a press conference Thursday at the Yacht & Brokerage Show in Miami Beach.
The collection of 37 yachts on display from its eight brands, including 25 new models, are the largest manufacturer’s display ever at the Collins Avenue show and the largest display ever for Ferretti in North America.
“It has been a landmark year for North and South America ever for the Ferretti Group,” said James Henderson, the newly named president and CEO of Ferretti Group America, noting the group’s record year of sales in the Americas market for the second consecutive year.
The group noted recent U.S. developments, such as new production facilities for Bertram Yacht and a high-end marina on Florida’s Merritt Island and the opening of a boutique Ferretti showroom in Palm Beach, Fla.
On Thursday, the group introduced four new yachts to the U.S. market: the Ferretti 870, Ferretti 690, Pershing 82 and Custom Line Navetta 26 Crescendo.
“The group will continue to reinforce the strategic importance of its Americas organization and is actively strengthening its presence throughout North America, along with growing its dealer presence in Latin America,” Henderson said.
“Latin America has been very good,” he added, noting continued growth of its dealer distribution network across nine countries — Puerto Rico, Argentina, Peru, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, and the Dominican Republic.
Ferretti also chose Miami to introduce a company-produced book devoted to the 170th anniversary of the Riva brand. A press conference to promote the book is scheduled for 5 p.m. today.
