Maine show will feature ‘Wicked Tuna’ cast members

Maine Boating Expo organizers announced that cast members of the popular television show “Wicked Tuna” will make an appearance at the expo, which takes place April 12-14 at Brunswick Landing, formerly the Brunswick Naval Air Station.

Maine Marine Trades Association, the show’s organizers, said Capt. Dave Marciano and Capt. Paul Hebert will be on hand from 1 to 4 p.m. on April 13 to meet show patrons, sign and sell their T-shirts and provide a workshop.

“We’re wicked excited that the guys will be joining us at the expo,” association executive director Susan Swanton said in a statement. “ ‘Wicked Tuna,’ which airs on Sunday nights at 9 on National Geographic Channel, is just so popular with folks from all over Maine. This will provide them with a great opportunity to meet these remarkable fishermen and get a few tips.”

The expo gives boaters an opportunity to have one last look at “what’s out there” and make their purchases at show special pricing, just in time for the summer season. This year’s lineup of exhibitors includes Allied Boat Works, Bamforth Marine, BFC Marine, Great Pond Marina, Hinckley Yachts, Jeff’s Marine, The Landing School, Maine Built Boats Inc., Maine Coastal Program, Mobile Marine Canvas, New Meadows Marina, Ocean Point Marina, Paul’s Marina, Pleasant Dock Systems, Points East Magazine, Portland Yacht Services and Sawyer & Whitten.

The expo is produced by the Maine Marine Trades Association and sponsored by the Maine Coastal Program.
