Ferretti launches 96-foot yacht in ItalyPosted on
The first Ferretti 960 was launched this week at the Ferretti Groups shipyard in Cattolica, Italy.
The company said the model is the largest planing yacht that it has ever built.
During the next few weeks, all technical activities Italian Register of Shipping tests, sea trials, and system and equipment tests will be performed and on-board fitting-out operations will be completed, the company said.
The Ferretti 960, which will be presented as a world premiere at the next Festival de la Plaisance in Cannes, is a result of cooperation between the Studio Zuccon International Project and Advanced Yacht Technology & Design, the Ferretti Groups research and naval design center.

The Ferretti 960, which has an overall length of 96 feet and a maximum width of 22 feet, is the brands first planing recreational boat featuring the master cabin forward on the main deck and as many as four equally sized guest cabins on the lower deck. The layout also includes three crew cabins with reserved access from the galley.
