SmartPlug Systems gains federal agency approval

Posted on

SmartPlug Systems’ connectors, inlets and cord set products were approved by the U.S. General Services Administration.

The GSA Advantage program enables more than 200 agencies, including local and state governments and the federal government, to easily purchase SmartPlug products that are available on the GSA website. The GSA, founded in 1949, serves as a centralized delivery system of services and products to the government.

“Having our products available through GSA Advantage is a big step for our revolutionary shore power solution,” SmartPlug creator and owner Ken Smith said in a statement. “GSA Advantage opens up many commercial opportunities for us.”

SmartPlug’s inlet and connector offer an increased pin and connector clip contact area, helping eliminate excessive heat. The connector and inlet protect against loose connections and overheating.

This is to be expcted from such a great safety product as Smart Plug. With this and the innovation Award at the Miami Boat Show, Smart Plug is getting the recognition it deserves. It is definitely a better mouse trap.
