Our weekly roundup of dealers and distributors includes news from Harbortown Marine in Ohio and Centurion Boats.
Harbortown Marine recently received an award from the Chamber of Commerce in Vermilion, Ohio, for expanding and remodeling its growing retail business during the companys 20th year in business.
Its indoor square footage increased from 2,500 to 3,665, plus an area for service work and boat storage and an additional storage building for extra stock, according to the Vermilion Online News.
Owners Russ and Jody Imars attribute their growth to customer service, competitive pricing, a strong service department and product selection. They have enjoyed record sales year after year, even throughout the economic downturn.
We want our customers to get the right item, at a good price, every day, Jody Imars told the publication. We dont upsell, we ask questions and offer suggestions based on our customers needs, even if it means selling something thats less expensive. Our focus is our reputation, keeping our customers happy and coming back, not the fast buck.
