Posted on

FLIR Systems said Thomas Surran was appointed president of FLIR’s commercial systems division, succeeding Andrew Teich, who was recently named FLIR’s president and CEO.

Jeffrey Frank was promoted to vice president of the global product strategy division.

In addition to his previous role as general manager of the company’s Raymarine segment, Surran served in several roles at FLIR, including chief financial officer of the Commercial Systems division. Frank has more than 25 years of experience in the infrared industry and was most recently vice president of product strategy for FLIR’s Commercial Systems division.

Surran and Frank joined FLIR in 2004 when the company acquired Indigo Systems.

“We are pleased to add Tom and Jeff to our executive staff,” Teich said in a statement. “Tom has a proven ability to execute with vision and control, which we saw in his advancement of our maritime businesses. Jeff has been a driving force in new product conceptualization, development and industrial design. Their skills will help position our global businesses for further growth, profitability and continued product innovation.”
