Atlantic Towers buys Minnesota accessory manufacturerPosted on
Atlantic Towers said it acquired St. Croix Marine Products, a Minnesota-based maker of stainless-steel davits for powerboats and sailboats, swim platform systems, removable cranes and associated hardware and mounting accessories.
“We’ve been a great admirer of the St. Croix products for many years and had approached St. Croix well over a year ago. The St. Croix brand is extremely strong and has always represented innovative marine products,” Atlantic Towers president Steve Tull said in a statement. “As we got to know St. Croix better, we found there were many, many similarities between our companies, from basic business philosophy to manufacturing methods to customers. We’re looking forward to adding and expanding the St. Croix line of premium stainless-steel structures to our own Atlantic Towers lineup of aluminum products. It’s a great fit.”
“It was important to me that any sale would maintain the high standards St. Croix has maintained since I began the company in 1989,” St. Croix founder Bill Blackmore said. “Steve will be using the same vendors and suppliers I’ve developed over the years, and we share identical manufacturing philosophies and methods. I’m looking forward to assisting with the transition and particularly to seeing my former customers during the fall and winter boat shows.”
New Jersey-based Atlantic Towers was founded in 1980 as a custom tower builder for sportfishing boats. The company offers a range of recreational marine products for inflatable, powerboats and sailboats.
