Crestliner unveils new 22-footer

Posted on

Crestliner debuted the 2200 Bay, an aluminum bayboat with a fiberglass center console that is geared for Gulf Coast and intercoastal fishing.

The boat has an all-welded, self-bailing aluminum hull with a baked Armor-Guard paint job, an open walkaround layout with onboard space for eight passengers and gear and a helm built on a molded fiberglass center console.

The result is a fishing boat with a fiberglass look and feel and the durability and value of aluminum construction, the company said.

“We’ve devoted a great amount of energy and research to develop and design a boat that anglers will want to use for a long time,” Crestliner president Cecil Cohn said in a statement. “We learned from real fishermen about what matters to them on their waters. The result is a spacious, comfortable and versatile boat that is built to take your next intercoastal adventure even further.”

Keel and chine extrusions, a 15-degree deadrise at the transom, a wide beam and reverse chines help keep the 2200 stable in turbulent coastal waters. It also drains directly from the floor to self-bailing scuppers, bypassing the bilge pump and saving battery life.

The 22-foot, 3-inch boat has a 49-cubic-foot fiberglass console at the center that includes a stainless steel steering wheel, a full instrument panel, a Lowrance X4 fishfinder, a windscreen with a stainless steel grab bar, a forward seat with a 16-gallon livewell below, six vertical rod holders and four drink holders.

It runs with Mercury Marine’s 150 FourStroke outboard and the power options range up to 200 horsepower. A bow-mounted, 24-volt MotorGuide SW82 Digital Great White Saltwater Edition trolling motor comes standard, as does an aluminum tandem-axle trailer with I-beam construction, vinyl bunks and mag wheels with brakes.

Crestliner is one of the Brunswick Boat Group’s aluminum brands.
