The Nordhavn 120 is expected to sail next week from Xiamen, China, to Vancouver, British Columbia, on the vessel’s maiden voyage and a sea trial by way of delivery.
For the last two months, the 120 has undergone rigorous tests and surveys. The yacht will take a voyage halfway across the world, with one planned stop in Hong Kong.
The journey is expected to take about 28 days.

Hanse Yachts is giving boaters a sneak peek at the new upcoming Hanse 505.
After record-breaking sales of the Hanse 575, which debuted last fall, the company is building on the success of the 50-foot class.
Hanse said detailed information about the 505 is available at www.hanseyachts.com. The new model includes the traditional Hanse loading platform coated in teak and a range of flush-mounted light strips and portholes.
The companionway has the 50-degree angle found in the Hanse 575, which means the inside of the boat can be entered with no need to duck. The steering columns are equipped with pods with space for a plotter and two instruments.
The new model will replace the Hanse 495.
