Dealer conference offers event planning kitPosted on
The Marine Dealer Conference & Expo launched a VIP Event Planning Kit promotion designed to help conferees get the most out of attending the Nov. 17-20 conference in Orlando, Fla.
In addition to an early-bird registration discount of $50 and a $75 discount for Marine Retailers Association of the Americas members, those who register before Aug. 15 will get the planning kit, which features opportunities for attendees to maximize their return on investment, the MRAA announced.
“It’s going to be a big deal for MDCE,” MRAA membership and marketing director Liz Walz told Trade Only Today. “And it will continue the momentum we’ve already created with the event. It’s a way to take the marketing and preparation to the next level. Since the conference is going to be more multifaceted, this provides more opportunity for attendees to plan out time there and use this kit we have to get the most out of your event and customize to what your goals are.”
The dealer conference is offering pre-conference workshops this year. Because those are so in-depth, the kit helps attendees plan ahead and, instead of bringing back ideas to implement, will help dealers create a strategic plan for the year ahead in whichever area the dealership wants to focus.
“It could be branding the dealership, or choosing to bring a mobile app back, or a social media plan,” Walz said. “Whatever it may be, those workshops amp up the take-home value and are a relatively inexpensive way to add on to the conference.”
One component of the kit is discounts on all of the books, DVDs and other teaching materials that the speakers, such as John Spence and Jeffrey Gitomer, have for sale. All registrants who sign up in time to receive the kit also will be entered in a drawing to win one of five conference resource packages, which include all resources from the speakers, including Gitomer’s soon-to-be-released book.
Marketing and branding expert David Avrin, who will talk about building dealers’ businesses into a brand, has been added to the speaker lineup.
