Maritime security conference set for TuesdayPosted on
Gulf of Aden Group Transits Limited, a private company that provides professional armed security teams to commercial vessels, is organizing the first maritime security briefing in Hamburg, Germany.
The July 9 briefing, to be held at the Internationales Maritimes Museum Hamburg, will bring together a BBC journalist who has Somalian and East African experience and senior military and intelligence analysts to review and provide insight on the range of potential threats faced in late 2013 and early 2014.
The briefing will touch on:
- the future of Somalia and the impact on Somali piracy as the international community seeks to “get Somalia right,” by BBC East Africa correspondent Mary Harper
