RBFF signs promotional deal with DisneyPosted on
The Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation and its Take Me Fishing campaign are partnering with the Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Media Networks in an effort to encourage children and families to connect with nature through boating and fishing.
The alliance will encourage guests who boat and fish at Disney World to continue those memorable experiences at home by connecting them with TakeMeFishing.org, which provides information about where to boat and fish in their community.
Were thrilled to work with Disney to make Take Me Fishing part of guests fishing and boating experiences at Walt Disney World Resort, RBFF president and CEO Frank Peterson said in a statement. By doing so we are able to promote boating and fishing to a broader audience and expand on our shared vision of connecting kids and families with nature.
At Walt Disney World Resort we offer many outdoor recreational activities in addition to our theme parks for guests to enjoy, Disney Corporate Alliances vice president Carlos Castro said in a statement. Were excited to team up with RBFF and Take Me Fishing to promote family fun in the great outdoors through our park and media networks.
Disney World offers guests boating experiences and catch-and-release fishing. There are 11 locations across the resort that offer guided fishing excursions. Additionally, dockside fishing takes place at Disneys Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, and cane pole fishing takes place at Disneys Port Orleans Resort-Riverside.
RBFF also will leverage the reach and engagement of the Disney Media Networks to keep boating and fishing top of mind, including the sponsorship of relevant Phineas and Ferb episodes on the Disney Channel and Disney XD, activating at popular community events around the country with Radio Disney and integration of the Take Me Fishing messaging within the popular Wheres My Perry app.
