Registration is now open for the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers’ 2013 Annual Meeting and Expo Nov. 6-8 in Bellevue, Wash.

SNAME said it has continued to revise and update the format of the meeting, emphasizing networking opportunities, enhanced rigor and timeliness of the technical program, and an expanded set of continuing education courses and social events.

Technical papers remain a key component of the meeting and will feature a broad range of papers and presentations, together with the Ship Production Symposium.

Panel sessions include:

• Energy Efficient Shipping

• LNG Fuel for Ships — Opportunities and Challenges

• CHINA — Design and Construction of Marine, Offshore and Naval Vessels

The “icebreaker” reception, annual banquet, awards luncheon and expo provide networking opportunities. Other social events include the sixth annual golf tournament on Nov. 5, the third annual Footy Regatta on Nov. 8 and the fifth annual SNAME Cup Sailing Regatta on Nov. 9.
