Unified Marine, maker of the SeaSense brand, named Ingram Pope as president.
Pope joins Unified Marine after spending 15 years with a New York City-based sporting goods company, where he held positions as national sales manager, vice president of sales and marketing and executive vice president. He also has an extensive background in retailing, having held numerous management positions in categories such as lawn and garden, team sports, camping, fitness, bikes, game parlor, fishing and marine.
As president, Pope will be responsible for driving revenue while overseeing new product development and inventory management. He also will handle daily general management of the company, working in concert with Unified Marine CEO David Nirenberg.
“We are excited to welcome Ingram to Unified Marine,” Nirenberg said in a statement. “With his extensive experience in retail management and the sporting goods industry, he is the ideal person to help drive our ongoing efforts to expand the SeaSense brand into new markets and build on our already highly successful commitment to develop new products that boaters really want.”
In accepting the position, Pope said: “I am excited to join Unified Marine, which for more than 25 years has been a leading accessories supplier serving the boating and fishing markets. I look forward to working with Unified’s many retail and wholesale customers as together we take the SeaSense brand to new heights.”
