The Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival, which celebrates Seattle’s maritime heritage, will take place July 4-7.

The free show will open with fireworks on July 4 and will feature boat rides, toy-boat building and a Scout sail on the schooner Adventuress to celebrate her 100th birthday.

The Wooden Boat Museum will relaunch its restored Herreshoff 12-1/2 Shrimpo. Center for Wooden Boats volunteer Dave Bergey will be restoring her rigging at dockside so visitors can watch the process.

The show, which features in-water and shore exhibits, opens at 10 a.m. and runs until 6 p.m.
