Atlantic Cruising Yachts opens on Annapolis waterfrontPosted on
Atlantic Cruising Yachts LLC announced its grand opening at the International Marine Center on the Annapolis harborfront in Eastport.
Atlantic now represents Jeanneau sailing yachts and Fountaine Pajot sailing and power yachts and offers brokerage services. It also offers programs designed to reduce the costs of yacht ownership. The company recently concluded an agreement to operate the Bay Yacht Agency brand used in connection with its offering of these services.
“We are very excited about the future of our company and our industry,” president Christian Bent said in a statement. “Last year, under Bay Yacht Agency, we were the top dealership in the world for Fountaine Pajot sailing catamarans and the top dealers in North America for Jeanneau, an accomplishment we are very proud of. This shows the incredible strength of these two brands and the strength of our sales and service teams in a recovering economic climate.”
Eric Smith, past president and founder of Bay Yacht Agency — an Annapolis institution for more than 40 years — joined the company to assist with marketing, sales and strategic planning. Bent, who previously served as sales manager for the Bay Yacht Agency, is the founder of Atlantic Cruising Yachts and leads the new company as its president. Kristen Vereen joined the company as business manager and Rudy Vereen is in sales.
“We have what we believe to be the most experienced, dedicated team in the industry,” Bent said in a statement. “We are a family of people who love this business, love boating and working with people to help make their boating dreams a reality. The best part of my job is handing over a beautiful new Jeanneau or Fountaine Pajot sailboat to the new owners.”
The company is planning a celebration in October at the Annapolis Boat Show, where it will exhibit new Jeanneau and Fountaine Pajot sailboats.
