Composites pavilion schedules cocktail event at IBEX

Posted on

The Composites Pavilion at the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference will pit vendor against vendor for the title of best marine-themed cocktail at 5 p.m. on Sept. 17.

Each team of composites professionals will mix a signature drink that captures the spirit of their industry. All registered attendees are invited to sample and vote for their favorite concoction at the networking event, which is sponsored by Composites One and Magnum Venus Plastech. To attend the event, registered conferees must visit the Composites Pavilion on Sept. 17 and receive a wrist bracelet from a composites exhibitor. Only attendees wearing the green CCC bracelet will be able to sample and participate in the cocktail voting.

Organizers say the event is intended to be a fun way to network with others in the industry and bring focus to the work of the composites industry.

“Composite materials are at the forefront of boatbuilding, and Composites One is pleased to highlight the many suppliers of these exciting materials at IBEX this year,” Composites One marketing manager Marcy Offner said in a statement. “Our signature drink, the ‘Composites-tini,’ is a tribute to the many fine marine manufacturers in attendance.”
